Meet the Team Behind Ovesco Retail

At Ovesco, we’re all about keeping things practical, reliable and friendly. Whether you’re visiting us at the Hunter Valley Outdoor Show or calling into the store, you’ll meet a team who are always up for a chat and ready to help you get the right gear for the job.

Here’s a quick intro to a few of the faces you’re likely to see. They know their stuff, they’ve seen it all before and they love hearing about your projects, big or small.

Simon "Gibbo" Gibb, Customer Service Manager

What does he do?

Simon keeps the customer service team running smoothly to make sure you get what you need, when you need it.

Why he loves Ovesco:

“The staff here are amazing. They are always happy to help out where ever possible.”

What to check out at the show:

“Gas Struts! The amount of times I hear people say that they just put up with doors hitting them in the head is crazy.”

Where you’ll find him outside of work:

Spending time with his family, who play a huge part in his life.

Raquel Fenton, Store Supervisor

What does she do?

Raquel supports the sales team with customer orders, lead times and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. She’s also hands-on with customer enquiries and loves helping people find the right gear for their builds or repairs.

Why she loves Ovesco:

“I really enjoy our team chats about how we can keep improving. It’s great being part of a place that values new ideas. I also like the challenge of helping customers find the best solution.”

What to check out at the show:

“There’s a lot to see, but honestly, everyone needs a good strut in their life. We’ve got a wide range in stock and if we don’t have it, we’ll order it in.”

Where you’ll find her outside of work:

Busy with a backyard project building retaining walls and garden beds, spending time with family or relaxing with a good book.

David Bendeich, Technical Sales Consultant (Fasteners & Tooling)

What does he do?

Dave helps everyone from major project managers to DIYers find the right fastening solutions — backed by over 25 years of experience.

Why he loves Ovesco:

“My satisfaction is in the knowledge that I have gained over 25 years and being able to provide the best solution for the customer with value for money.”

What to check out at the show:

“It’s hard to pick one that stands out. I believe our booklet handout is what I would recommend people seek with reference for their projects later.”

Where you’ll find him outside of work:

Adventure motorbike riding (and creating content for his YouTube channel), or spending time with family and friends.

Petar Propadalo, Sales Coordinator

What does he do?

Pete helps customers find the right solutions for their projects, whether it’s sorting out hardware for a new canopy or helping troubleshoot a tricky setup.

Why he loves Ovesco:

“The different people you meet. From account customers to walk-ins, everyone’s working on something different. It keeps the day fun and interesting.”

What to check out at the show:

“It’s got to be the whale tail with central locking. You don’t have to worry about locking your canopy if it’s synced with your car. Too easy.”

Where you’ll find him outside of work:

Probably on the road or hanging out with mates.

Robert Hulburt, Sales Coordinator

What does he do?

Rob assists customers with day-to-day needs and helps solve any problems they face with their projects.

Why he loves Ovesco:

“My favourite part of working at Ovesco besides the great team, is the customers, seeing the projects they are undertaking, helping them to solve any issues and supplying them with what they need to do so.”

What to check out at the show:

“With the range we offer, it’s not about one product, it’s about brand awareness and understanding the options available for future projects.”

Where you’ll find him outside of work:

With family, supporting his son’s footy team, working on projects (including a farm stand and food trailer), playing cricket, or enjoying a good BBQ, fishing, and camping.

Hamish Sellar, Sales Coordinator

What does he do?

Hamish is part of the sales team, taking orders over the phone, via email or helping customers in person at the store.

Why he loves Ovesco:

“The team. It’s a great work environment and everyone gets along.”

What to check out at the show:

“Fire blankets. Definitely worth a look.”

Where you’ll find him outside of work:

Dreaming of electric sheep.
